Best  Hope
EARLY LEARNING CENTRE

Our Philosophy

We view each child as taonga, a unique gift to be nurtured and treasured which is evident through the intentional observations and unhurried learning rhythms we create, empowering each child to follow their interests and supporting their individuality.

We view the environment as playing a key role in achieving this and work to achieve the fine balance between creating an environment that is predictable enough to create a sense of belonging while also being challenging in a way that provokes wonder and curiosity, inviting tamariki to go beyond the ordinary to the extraordinary.

We believe that each child is a gift from God and is best taught well while they are young. Our Learning program is based on the principles of Te Whāriki (New Zealand ECE curriculum) which guides us in the development of children’s cognitive, emotional, physical, intellectual, language, emotional and social needs.

Our centre is part of the community with diverse cultures and a very core of our philosophy is the relationships we develop with each child and their family/whānau that are responsive, reciprocal, respectful, and encouraging.

At Best Hope, we emphasise a bicultural perspective giving children the opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding about the heritages of "Te Tiriti O Waitangi in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

The teachers are incredibly caring and dedicated, creating a warm and nurturing environment for the children. The curriculum is well-rounded, combining fun activities with meaningful learning experiences. The facilities are clean, safe, and filled with engaging resources that spark creativity and curiosity. Since joining, we've noticed significant progress in his social skills, confidence, and overall development. Highly
recommend!
